Chia Seed Berry Bowl

I can't believe i ever bought cereal in a box! I discovered chia seeds a few years ago and wasn't sure what all the fuss was about until i tried a chia seed bowl. The best thing about chia seed bowls is you can make them the night before, pop them in the fridge the next morning just add your fav toppings.

The trick is to put about two tablespoons of chia into a glass. Cover with dairy free oat milk, once again i use gluten free oats. Stir the seeds so they are covered completely then fill the glass half full with more milk. Place in the fridge. When you are ready to use them add more milk and stir them so they separate. Add your favourite berries and tablespoon of ground mixed seeds.

To make the oat milk:

  • 2 tlbs organic oats
  • Pint of filtered water
  • Pinch of salt
  • Squeeze of agave syrup

Place oats in a blender with pint of water. Add  pinch of salt and a squeeze of agave syrup. Whizz up for a couple of seconds. Blending too long makes the milk gluey!

Strain the milk in a sieve a few times discarding the oats.

Place in a bottle in the fridge. Use within 2 days.
